The floor tom is missing the bottom ring and lugs.

The bass drum spurs are after market and not correct for the kit.

When i got the kit i posted pics of it here at vintagedrumforum because i didn't really know anything about it. There are pics and an explanation of what it is.

Ugh, hate to say this but it's my duty.

John Bonham's kit was one rack tom (14 or 15 inch depending on year) and a 16 and 18 inch floor tom. Bass drum was 26, not 24.

I understand the desire to put up the words Bonham kit to get more traffic, but it's not what it is.

Secondly, the only kit that Ludwig lists with those sizes is the "Smoke and Fire" set-up from 1978-1980, and in the Ludwig book that kit is shown as a Vistalite, but the sizes you have listed.

Very good possibililty that your kit was part of a larger kit at one time, but IMHO, not a "Bonham" kit.

Hello All,

I brought the drum pics here because i didn't know what they were. I was told they were likely a Bonham kit, so thats what i put.

If you read it you would see that someone guessed it was a Bonham kit. I don't know what type of kit it is except a 78-79 Ludwig with the blue and olive tags.

Whatever "type" of kit it is old school, good condition, and a great deal

I am glad BACKBEATKEEPER replied first with this correct info. It makes me cringe when I see this......although it is an honest error. Since being a member I have learned so much, it simply amazes me. Being a huge Bonham fan like many others, his set-up was so distinctive and unique for the time. His name unfortunately is thrown around and associated with any type of larger than normal scale sized drums, that are for sale. This is also my duty, peace......long live BONZO
