Hello. A comment I have is in the add it is stated "This set includes all original Atlas hardware in fantastic condition." When I see this my mind thinks of the Atlas hardware as cymbal stands, high hat stand, and possibly a bass drum pedal. But then the add goes on and states "No pits, top and bottom rims are perfect on all drums. Atlas bass drum mount is included." So I'm thinking the hardware you meant is the rims, lugs, floor tom legs, bass drum mount, etc. The all Atlas hardware seems a bit miss leading to me. It led me to look for stands in the pictures. I may be in the minority on this though and most will understand what is meant by all hardware included.

I would mention the toms having the mufflers. Although many people don't use them (I actually like using them), it is hard to find vintage kits with mufflers as most were removed and lost and original replacements are expensive.

I'm not good at judging prices and there seems to be a decent variation of prices due to the market but $1500 seems a bit high to me for a common color and sizes although it is in great shape and maybe that justifies the premium price.

I can edit the post to remove the Atlas reference regarding the hardware, I do not want to mis-lead anyone.

I hadn't even thought about mentioning the mufflers.(which are all present and in perfect condition.)

Also, if you are the original owner of these I would certainly state this in the ad. A nice selling point and buyer would love knowing they weren't in the hands of many others. Nice kit!

Mark, you are one of the guys I was hoping would critique my sale post. You have a great eye for detail, and I know you would have given me your best opinion. But, I must have presented them well because I had a guy drive half way across Ohio to come and see them.

This guy was buying them for his son who is just getting started playing the drums. He brought his son with him, and the kid had some pretty fast hands for a beginner.

I have a little bit of a soft spot for a Dad giving a drum set to his kid, because after 43 years, I still have the early 60’s set that my Dad gave me when I was a teen.

I was asking 1500, and let them go for 1300. I think we were all happy.

Great ending. I, too, have the fond memory of my Dad getting me my first kit at the age of six. A blue diamond MIJ, but i loved them....Still have the 70's Ludwig kit he bought me as I outgrew those
