1968 Slingerland Blue Agate for Slingerland Jazz kit

I have a very nice 1968 Slingerland Blue Agate 20,12,13,16 up for trade. It has NO FADE on its original wrap. If you are looking for a kit in this color, this is a goody. The chrome hardware is in excellent shape (as you would expect, considering the shape of the wrap).

I also have a Slingerland Maple finish (I believe it was originally a mahogany stain that was sanded, but I honestly don't know for sure) 14 floor dated May 1965 with a clear inner and no badge and the 'M' stamp. If it was originally a maple outter, it's not the best I've ever seen. It looks good ... just not Slingerland good.

I am looking for a very nice Slingerland JAZZ kit 20,12,14. I am picky, so please don't be put off. I don't want silver sparkle or black diamond pearl. I'm looking for a stunning Champagne or natural wood or something that attracts my eyes. There are several that I've liked. If you have one and are interested in my kit ... contact me. I'm up for looking.

Here are the shots showing the good stuff. I'll follow this post with three shots that show the only bad points I've found.

As promised ... here are the only flaws I've found.

A bit of rash on the 12.

A crack in the wrap right under the spur mount.

One missing inlay.

What type of mount for the toms? I thought you had a 22" bass with that kit? I have been considering trading away my wmp kit. Blue agate was my first kit.

It's the first issue double-tom mount. It's the non-chrome type. I can take pictures of all the lugs and mounts if anyone wishes. It's no big deal. It's all sweet.

Here's some pics of the hardware right as I removed it from the drums. I did not clean it or polish it. It's the way it arrived ... all pretty and sparkly.

I checked out that wmp kit. Very nice. 1962!!! That's the EXACT year I'm seeking. If you are interested, I would enter into discussion about a trade.

Here's some pics of the goofy 14 floor.

mcjnic:

Do you think that your "goofy" floor tom would match my Slingy maple bass drum (see pic)?

Also, are you looking for a trade for it or a sale?

Thanks!

Your bass is a 22 and is VERY nice. No, I don't think this floor Tom would look good next to that bass. It's honestly not cherry enough and a bit small. A 16 would be a better fit. Barring size, it's still lacking in the finish area. Man, that bass is sweet looking.
