I've had these for a while, but my gold sparkles are getting more use these days...

The short story: A great sounding, very functional (but NOT original) and good looking kit. Great gigging kit that has received many compliments.

The long story: This kit was HAMMERED when I got it. It was spray painted black (very poorly), missing tension rods, hoops, insides looked terrible. I took it completely apart, cleaned 99.9% of the spray paint off, cleaned all the chrome, primed and repainted the insides with flat white, had the edges professionally re-cut on the 12 & the 14 (the 22's edges were fine), tracked down the hoops and rods it needed, installed Gibraltar spurs and a Dw rail mount (using existing holes). The 12 is mounted on a RIMS mount with a Dw bracket. The original Ludwig mount is long gone. The two original holes are still there. The 14 has the original legs and leg brackets although the screws used to mount the bracket are not original. The bass drum's original spurs are gone but the spur brackets are complete. The T-rods and claws are original and all accounted for. Note: The bass drum heads shown in the picture are NOT the ones currently on it that will sell with the kit. Overall, it came out pretty dang nice and I have been very happy with it. The heads are in great shape. Aquarian Superkick + coated ambassador on the bass drum, coated emperors + clear ambassadors on the toms.

I would be happy to email more pictures to you if you'd like...just ask.

I would be interested in hearing offers as I am nervous to put them up on ebay (check out my feedback dwcp9799 140 positives, zero negatives) seeing as my last few auctions went for the $.99 opening price!!! Is the economy THAT bad?

Thanks for looking. Picture links below.
