have a 1967 rogers holiday kit , 5 piece and was wondering what it was worth. it was built in Dayton Oh . it has an 18in bass drum #81192. 12: tom 86121, 13"83604, 16" floor 86653, and dynasonic snare chrome "6442,14 ". i bought it in 1970 from the original owner.
1967 rogers
forgot they are champagne
...and with all good champagne comes a sweet sweet high dollar celebration.
Those are worth some money. Without pics, only ballparking is allowed.
I would venture that it would take a hit as a full kit due to the strange sized bass drum.
...but, that bass is seriously desired by many old drumming ****s. So, where the kit would take a hit, the value of the bass counteracts that.
If condition is very very good and all original...
I would guesstimate it as follows...
180-225 for the 12
250-300 for the 13
325-350 for the 16
450-700 for the 18 (a wild card)
no freekin' clue on the snare
thanks. i have never seen an 18" bass drum . even in the catalog for that year.
What is your intent? Are you playing the kit or are you testing the waters to sell it and needed to know the info so you don't get taken?
dbird278!...
Rogers did indeed offer a 14x18 bass drum in 1967... page #22, item #83... your choice of Pearl. Not all that many were ordered/purchased though, so yes, they are rare. I have one with one of my Rogers sets... the ultimate jazz set!... although this set covers pretty much everything I play with great sound and aplomb.
Tommyp
i dont play the kit now, it is in storage. needs some polishing. yes , i may consider selling

In that case, everything I said before is wrong. My bad. The kit has a resell value of about 475-500. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.
On a separate note...I just happen to be looking for a kit remarkably similar to yours. Kismet!
