1966 Slingerland "Stage Band" Restore

Loading...

Hello Friends,

Just wanted to share with all of you my Slingerland Stage Band restoration. Here is the original thread to show what they looked like when I got them:

http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=38858&highlight=slingerland+club+date

I would like to especially thank blairndrums for helping me obtain the period correct parts for this. Thanks man!

I still need to add the badges to the drums (except the snare)-I finally located the right size eyelets so I'll be doing that soon.

I chose Green Sparkle because it just a "Slingerland Color" to me. I used a Ludwig bracket for the L-Rod Cymbal holder instead of a Slingerland...I just don't trust any cymbal holder without a eye-bolt.

These sound great and got compliments on both their looks and sound on their debut gig!

I think we can all agree: There is something sweet about "saving" drums from sheer despair.....no matter their value or collectability.

Enjoy and feedback welcomed!

V

Nice choice on the green sparkle wrap. I like. I don't see a lot of Stage Band's out there either. Super cool kit. And nice you have a matching snare. What model is the snare?

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.
