1965 Gretsch Burgundy Sparkle

Loading...

So I've had a set of 1965 Gretsch Round Badge drums for quite some time now. I used to play All The time, but I rarely ever touch them anymore.

So long story short, I hate seeing this beautiful kit just sitting not getting attention and feel I need to sell them. Only issue is, I have no idea what they are valued at.

So input on what these kits are going for would be great fellas and I appreciate any and all help!

Check eBay "sold listings" for similar era and sizes. When you arrive at a price you can post them here. Lots of RB fans. Welcome to the forum.

Awesome! I'll check it out now. And thank you! I'm in other forums for trucks and campers and they are always the most helpful tool!

nice set, I am not very helpful on pricing but sizes and condition and any extra hole info will help the people who know about that. Gretsch kits can bring in some good money, hopefully it works out for you.

Thanks for the input! I will get the sizes asap because I have forgotten them. And extra hole info? Sorry for the newb question, but I didn't know these had additional holes in them...

And yeah I've seen some kits bring in a lot of money! I've searched ebay listing for something similar to mine but there are bot many burgundy sparkle kits listed unfortunately. Which would be a good thing to!

No extra holes is good.

Means someone didn't go crazy with a drill.

Oh hahaha! There's none at all, all original. I bought from 1st owner of them that was in a jazz band back in the day. Also got a bunch of cymbals, stands and a set of roto toms.

Tough to tell, but it looks like a Name Band 22, 13, 16 setup, or possibly a Gretsch "Bop" 20, 13, 16. There does seem to be a large mount on the right hand side (from drummer's position) of the bass drum, but the photo is too our of focus to be sure.

If the wrap is in nice shape, that will be important to setting a price, so good clear photos in whatever advert you eventually use will be key to the best price.

Good luck with the sale. Sad to hear that you aren't drumming enough to keep them.

I've added a couple more pics of when they were nice and clean around the time I got them. Makes me realize how bad they need cleaned! Haha

And thank you Dan! I hope to get back into it again but the wife and kids don't seem to like hearing them a whole lot. So we will see. Maybe I'll just end up keeping them. Who knows.
