1961 Slingerland 13/16/22 Silver Sparkle For Sale

I'm going to try it out on eBay, first. Thanks for the interest, though.

Here is a little more complete description with some of the bad news spelled out. I may have been a little harsh but I would rather have the buyer pleasantly surprised than unpleasantly surprised.

Thanks again for all the input, folks. I appreciate it.

Good luck on the auction Kapper. Hope you get what they're worth.

That's the one thing about eBay. I believe in the adage that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. And, eBay is certainly a testament to that.

Mrs. KapperDog said I had too much wording in that auction for eBay. I tend to agree that eBay people like it short and sweet but I also believe in full disclosure. LOL

She suggested I break the copy up and put pictures in between the paragraphs.

I'm open to any suggestions.

As always, thanks.

Well, maybe $699 was too low after all. Less than 24 hours on eBay and it sold already.

I'm packing as we speak.

From KapperDog

Well, okay, the description was a tad long :) but I think people feel more comfortable bidding on items with a thorough description. I've seen perfectly good items at good prices on auction end without a single bid and I believe often it's solely because the description was very limited and too brief and often people are wary of these items. IMO full, complete and honest disclosure is best for both buyers and sellers. Just my opinion ...

That's the same thing the buyer said. He said he was comfortable with what he was buying because it was well described.

I am packaging it right now and it will ship today. I hope he's happy. This is one of the best sounding drum sets I have ever played.

I am really happy. I received a very nice email from the buyer telling me how nice I packaged it and how quickly it arrived. But he was really thrilled with the way it played. He said he played it at a gig last weekend it it was great.

Just thought I would share that. Everyone loves a happy ending. LOL
