1959 Ludwig/WFL Snare ID

Loading...

Hello! I was wondering if I could get some help ID'ing this snare I have.

Here's what I know:

Date Stamp: May 7 1959

Shell: Wood

Finish: White Marine Pearl

Badge: Ludwig Transitional

Dimensions: 14" x ???. Not sure on the depth. It's between 5"(inner rim to inner rim) to 6.5" (outer rim to outer rim). Not sure what exactly to measure here.

Interior Finish: Natural Wood

Hardware: 8 lugs, WFL strainer butt

Strainer: Classic

Defects: Some adhesive/resin drips on interior from upper rim, some pock marks on lugs.

Sorry, there's no picture, but it looks exactly like this one:

How much would one of these go for?

Thanks so much!

Some info on this drum can be found on an older thread.

The measurement is best taken with one head off

and it is the depth of the shell. More then likely a 5 1/2" depth.

The prices on the old thread are accurate and without seeing the drum

and condition, we can only estimate on what other drums have sold for.
