Hello Forum Members,
I'm new to this forum. First post. So please don't rip me too badly if I mess up.
My wife has a business in the northwest of Boston, MA area called Attentive Concierge (www.attentiveconcierge.com). She does various things for people who can't or don't want to do them for themselves. She's recently taken on a job to take care of items from an estate.
When cleaning out the estate we found a set of drums. After a bit of research they look to be a 1957-58 set of Leedy Concert Kings, Bass and Snare Drum (found this document here to help date the drums - http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/images/leedy_snare_drums/1958-leedy_snaredrums2.jpg).
and accessories (meaning Ziljian high hat, extra Ziljian cymbal, 2 pairs of sticks, a pair of brushes, and some other various sticks which seem to be sticks specifically for the bass drum).
My wife sometimes "subcontracts" out to me for specific parts of her job. She's asked me to sell the drums for her. :-) So I'm looking for some help with the price / value.
The set is in very good shape. Look to still have the original covers on the drums. I've attached 5 photos to give you an idea of what the set looks like and the condition they're in.
Anyway, does anyone care to help and venture a guess at a price / value?
I've got a few other pictures and can send to those interested.
Regards,
Scott
