I recently acquired a WMP WFL 18x20 Floor Tom / Cocktail Tom / Bass Drum that is in very good - excellent condition. It has the two swing up cymbal holders and the three original legs as well. It came with calf skin heads as well, although it's likely they're not original. Sadly, it didn't come with the pedal to use it as a cocktail drum. It can also be used as a bass drum and the swing up cymbal arms lock into place in that configuration as well. It's a very cool design. My question is this - what might be the value of this? I'm not interested in selling it, but wanted to know the value. I've attached a couple of pictures of it from the 1955 catalog so you know what it is. I'll take a picture of it this week and add it to this post as well. Thanks in advance.

Great find! I'd bet that's a pretty rare drum. I haven't seen enough (or any) of them to know the value. If I was to take a shot in the dark, I'd say probably $800 give or take... most likely give.

Cool! You have to wear a white tuxedo when you play it out! I can't help out with price only to say that those Compacto drums are rare. Would make a great start on a bop kit! Add 12" & 14" toms and maybe a piccolo snare drum and it's Bop-city here we come.
Very cool drum.
