Just finished another re-wrap project that came out well. So, time to part with it. I'm selling this recently restored Leedy & Ludwig 14x26 bass drum. All original hoops and nickle plated hardware. This is a VIRGIN bass drum.....no extra holes drilled in it at all, not even anything for a tom mount or spurs! This drum was originally white pearl, but was so badly cracked and yellowed that it needed re-wrapping. I've re-wrapped it in a finish called Continental Pearl by Precision Drum Company from New York. Its a very close match to the original unyellowed wrap. I was able to match it to what I found under the lugs and seams of the original wrap. This is a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple shell with maple reinforcement rings. There was a previous repair done to the reinforcement hoops, a passible job, so I decided to leave that alone. It looks like the glue let go on the reinforcement hoops and someone used liquid nails to glue them back. The drum is in round and the bearing edges are in great shape. The interior of the drum has its original white paint and a date stamp dating it to 1951. I believe this may have been a marching bass, but its possible it always was a dumkit bass.
Looking to get $300.00 for it. PM me if interested.
