1950s Leedy & Ludwigs

Loading...

SOLD! Thanks to everyone. Sad to see them go, but glad it's to a good home.

I have a big set of WMP Leedy & Ludwigs for sale. 24" bass, 9x13, 8x10, 16x16 toms, gorgeous matching snare. Includes clip-on tom and two cymbal holders and bass spurs. I had all the hardware re-nickle plated in 1991.

I also have a 1939 28" WFL bass drum, with lovely faded-yellow WMP that matches. Humes & Berg bags for all included.

Thanks.

Beautiful kit, that 10" tom is odd for that year. What's your asking price?

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

I'm looking for $1,200 for the whole shebang, drums, hardware, bags, "extra" bass drum.

I'm in the Washignton, DC area. Haven't figured shipping yet.

Thanks.

WOW! These drums went for $1,200? Plus the extra bass? What a steal! I would think they would be worth almost double that!

Are Leedy & Ludwig kits not as valuable as I thought?

I own a very similar kit- 1953 WMP 12/16/22 with Matching Braoadway snare and I love it. It is one of the best sounding/most well built kits I have ever owned.

You're probably right, but I've had no offers at higher amounts.

The 1939 WFL 29-inch bass drum is still available, though, if you're interested.
