1942 to 1945 Ludwig Victory kit

Loading...

This is not my kit for sale.

Being fairly new to the forum I think I am allowed to share . . .

I saw this kit while surfing Craigslist. Not sure if the person posting is a member or not but given the rarity and overall great look of the kit I thought someone might be interested. Not sure if it is a good price or not. I saw a kit like this at the CT Drum show . . . wish I had the cash !

this is a highly collectible Ludwig kit from 1942 to 1945 when metal was rationed and Ludwig built kits using wood hoops and lugs. this kit is playable but could benefit from a restoration. original hardware is included. $2000 firm

It is certainly a fair price for a kit in that condition. Hard sell though. Very few of us actually look for a kit of that nature, and someone like me would want to " Museum " it, and have it more for display & occasional play than actual use. I'd be terrified of the wood lugs breaking or cracking. To me that is a kit that should be in a WWII museum as part of American History. So many people know of the war effort, steel pennies, sugar stamps,etc... But very few are aware of the drums made during that time.

18 Kits & 40+ snares..
