I'm looking to sell my early 40s Leedy Broadway Standard Snare drum. It's a 6.5 x 14 brass shell with what I believe is nickel plating. This is a very rare and desirable drum.

They can easily go for around $1,000 because of how rare they are, and how great they sound. I am looking to get $500 for the package because I want to sell it to raise money for a Hammond.

It comes with it's original case and matching Leedy stand. The case is in very good shape, very solid. The hinges were replaced at some point. The stand is all original and functions fine.

Overall the drum is in very good shape for it's age. It is unrestored and unmolested. It still has gut holding the snare wires tight! The head is an old weatherking. The shell is crack free, no buzzes, etc.

As you might be able to see, it has a small dent by the strainer lever. The strainer still functions fine and is undamaged. I am told it is not a big job to straighten it, however I am not really a drummer and didn't want to mess with it.

I've had the drum for about five years and have done nothing to it. It's in exactly the same condition as when I got it.

I live in New Ringgold, PA 17960 and would be happy to show the drum to anyone interested. I am around during the mornings and early afternoon on weekdays, and am off this Saturday all day. Sunday I have church in the morning, but am around after that.

I would be willing to ship the drum, but would request advice from forum members as to how best to pack it.
