1932-33 LUDWIG & LUDWIG 6.5 x 14 LUDWIGOLD STANDARD MODEL

Loading...

Hi,

Happy Holidays to you and yours. This drum was purchased a while back from a collector in Japan . It was time to clean it up.

*1932-33 LUDWIG & LUDWIG 6.5 x 14 LUDWIGOLD STANDARD MODEL

*I am saying 1932-33 because of the internal tone control. Tone controls were first seen at L & L in 1932 and the Ludwigold option ended in 1933.

THE SHELL:

The heavy brass shell was in great shape with no major dents and no extra holes. The Ludwigold finish had a little chipping here and there but overall was in great shape, just a light cleaning was needed.

THE HARDWARE:

The DeLuxe hardware had the normal 90 years of tarnish and rust, especially on the tension rods, collar hooks and tube lugs. Everything cleaned up well.

Of-the-era calf heads and James Snappi-Snares rounded out this restoration.

Enjoy!

Merry Christmas

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
