15" Vistalite rack tom

Loading...

I'm thinning out the fleet of drums I don't use and wanted to get an idea of the asking price for a 70's Vistalite 15" double headed rack tom, blue in good condition would be?? (serial # 1541441). Can't seem to find any completed ebay listings.

Also looking for value of the pair of 12" and 13" concert toms, in blue.

Thanks!!

I bought a blue Vistalite 12 x 15, double headed tom about a year and a half ago. It has the rounded corner B/O badge. It is in seriously near mint-- I mean, I can't find even one tiny scratch on this this. I paid $267 plus $20 shipping.

I also bought a blue Vistalite 12 x 15 single-headed concert tom about a year ago. It has a pointed badge (no serial number) and in pretty scratchy shape. I ended up wet sanding and looks pretty decent now. I paid $36 plus shipping.

I know that this is not exactly what you are trying to offer, but at least I hope this gives you some sort of gauge to work from. I would say more than $36 but less than $267, but probably closer to $267 than $36.

Anyway- all facetiousness aside- prices really can be all over the place on these things. Sometimes I see auctions with BIN a little too high, so they don't go. Then in a couple days the seller puts it on No Reserve starting at $0.01. Then the item sells for more than what the BIN price was just a few days ago!

It just takes two people who want it bad enough at the same time, and who can predict that? That's why I always have seen ebay as more of a casino crap shoot than a beauty of the unfettered "free market." :2Cents:
