I used to do same as Mark... ( dishwashing liquid and a soft cloths) .. If I was to have a set now I think I'd do the same but use micro fibre cloths....

As said earlier it is the steel shell Festival model... The later 80's model had the same roll over edge and snare crimp as the Sound King. My guess...

Yes, do pay some attention to the bearing edges.. may be just the image but it appears to be uneven tension on the FT batter head... Looks like a nic...

That's a real nice kit of drums..you are one lucky grandson.. Looks like some spurs (Legs) on the rear hoop ? They will work better on the front hoop...
