That should be the COS "Festival" model... & with the original "True tone" batter head.. Recommend tune it high, put on some ear pads, and then stand...

Whatever you use will darken the natural timber... So I would use clear Lacquer as opposed to a wax which will penetrate deeper & be harder to remove...
