Please help identify a Paiste Giant Beat 14 Hi-Hats Top
2 Attachment(s)
Hello!
I got interested in bying a cymbal - Paiste Giant Beat 14 Hi-Hats Top, but have some doubts if it is a vintage one. I asked the owner if any stamps or a serial number other than the printed logo "PAISTE Giant Beat" (see the photos), but no answer so far. And it is difficult to see anything on the cymbal. Is it possible to ID this cymbal with such little info? Thank you! |

OK, update.
The owner says there are no other stamps or serial number on the cymbal. |

So far, the only reasonable explanation is that it's been cut from a bigger size cymbal.

I wonder if the size of the cymbal bell could shed a little more light on the subject? |

This may be too late but, whatever you do, DO NOT buy that cymbal unless it's less than $100!
That cymbal was definitely cut down from an 18", see the side by side comparison with a 15" hihat on the left. Also, your cymbal doesn't have a stamp @ 3:00, so it was either cut off or it's not vintage. Attachment 138219 |
