You're always missing something...

Almost had it all! What's missing in this picture? 12/13/14/16... oh yeah, a bass drum.

All round Made In Japan badges (except for the missing badge on the 14" ft.) Would be a sweet expanded MIJ set if it only had a bass drum. Like the Scarecrow, If I only had a brain...

The 12" I spent a good deal of time fixing up, and cracked several lugs while I was at it, but it sounds really good now. This is the drum that taught me that coated heads top and bottom are the way to go on old MIJs. The 13" on the other hand sounds "ehhhgh." Cant figure it out, it should sound exactly like the 12" only lower. The 14" and 16" I picked up somewhat recently and haven't had a chance to fix up yet.

(The flash makes the wrap look weirdly faded and purple-y. In person it looks like a regular aged blue sparkle.)

Hey maybe! You gotta pic? By the way, this is just a collection of orphans, this is not going to be a set of keepers. Just a group of projects for the definitely-not-for-profit bleeding heart drum foundation. The best thing I'm hoping for on these is to not loose too much money.

Man, stop it. Find a drum school, and a young man that can't buy his own kit, and I'll donate the bass, if you will commit to the 12 and 14.

...and btw, I'm not a liberal. I do it because I see too many kids at a point in their lives that they quit because they can't afford a kit. Drums are far more expensive, for the first step up, than guitar or bass. A guitar that sounds OK will sell for 50 bucks on CL. A drum kit that sells for 250 barely sounds acceptable, and we all know this. I do it because I get off on making a **** into an ingot.

Now, you know I am not giving you a hard time, but I just want to make a small point that these can make good rums, when properly worked.
