Rogers Drums Last viewed: 1 week ago
ABSOLUTELY! Rogers never really had a "bad" year when looking at vintage drums (prior to 1980). They had years that weren't as GREAT as some of the other years, but never a "bad" year. Those drums would be excellent shells with nice hardware and most likely right at the Fullerton exchange. Nice drums.
Unless the drums you are looking at foil badges that say R360 or R380, which were made during the era years you mentioned. They were Yahama shells made for the entry level market.
If they have the chrome script ROGERS badges, they are prior to 1976 - great drums. They used foil stick-on Big R badges with USA on them after that. The foil badges without the USA designation were import shells as well.
Good stuff, Amosguy. Even the Yamaha R360 kits were good drums. Those wild and crazy Rogers guys seemingly couldn't do anything wrong during this time span.
Those mid 60s Yamaha Rogers are quality drums.
