Magic Mike’s Mad Mondays (and Tuesdays) – vintage gear week!

[list] Drums:

[list]

Slingerland:

[LIST] 1979 – 1980 Vintage Slingerland Niles Badge drums – Back for a repeat performance! I have been told that these are the Slingerland Spirit drums from the early to mid 1980s consisting of 3 play Maple/Polar/Maple shells, a reinforcing “ringless” version of the “bread and butter” Slingerland shells used prior in the 1970s.

22” Bass Drum, 8x12” Tom, 9x13” Tom and 16x16” Floor Tom – standard sizes back in the day! These are honey gold finish with the wood grain showing through. These drums are in very good condition and some might say in excellent condition for their age. The heads show very light use with a lot of life left in them! These are going to be sold. Period!

Opening bid of $0.99 and no reserve

[list]Ludwig:

[LIST] Vintage Ludwig Keystone 5x14” Snare Drum in White Marine Pearl – This drum is in very good condition, given its age! The typical “yellowing” of the pearl finish associated with Ludwig White Marine Pearl, this drum sports the Keystone badge with serial number 538663. All of the critical parts are there but the snare wires will definitely need changing!

[list]Tama:

[LIST] Vintage 1980 Tama Imperialstar 8x8” double-headed tom-tom in Metallic White – Another drum in very good condition, given its age! This drum has minor flaws in the finish which is starting to pull away at the lap seam. Otherwise, this drum is in great condition with all of the factory parts being present and even has one of the original heads (CS black dot). Serial number 151378.

Hi, I'm Magic Mike. I listed a ton of links on my signature, because let's face it, I'm all that's important. Oh by the way, do you mind if I spam the living hell out of this forum and not contribute other than shameless self-promotion and did I mention it's Mad Mondays again.

Go away you sloth. Go back and climb into the cesspool from which you crawled. I'm normally a very nice person, as are most here, but you have become like salt in a wound to most here.

Do us all a favor and stop posting for sale stuff like this is a used car lot.

I BELIEVE THAT I SPEAK FOR A MAJORITY REGARDING YOUR POSTS

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

skitch obviuosly believes that he is providing a service to the Forum members and his posting partly fits the basic criteria of "vintage" and certainly "for sale."

Maybe what's in order is a set of detailed guidelines hosted in the FAQ's as to what and, more importantly it appears, how items should be posted in the "For Sale" section?

Here's a link to the Webmaster's thread regarding this problem.

Does a sub or sister forum really have to be created?

If a set of well defined guidelines were available it might just address the issue or at the very least then an accountability process can be put into place.

Also I don't think the main issue goes away merely because a "commerce" forum will be set-up.

Ask Webmaster, it's his forum.
