OK. Took the skins off and inspected this snare. It looks brand new on the inside. No stamps or stickers in there. Pretty sure it's COB. Decided not to disassemble entirely because it looked so good to begin with I didn't want to fix something that wasn't broken. Here's pics. Either I'm missing something or this thing has hardly ever been used. No rust or abuse that I can see anywhere, but I'm no expert on this stuff. I've never done anything with drums before. What do you guys think.

My 1963 Ludalloy SupraPhonic is in exceptionally good condition, but WHOA !! yours is just beautiful. Keep it polished and wipe off finger prints when it's not in use. Congrats! (A red muffler, too!)
