I'll try to stop posting here - but here are some photos I took tonight:
1965 Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl 20, 14, 12
Last post until I can end the thread. The drums are still for sale, I added pictures. I'd like to sell this kit soon and I'm open to offers, but not trades. Honestly, the 12" tom is fine, I just like giving 110% detailed ...details. The "out of round" comment might have been too harsh - see the pictures! The drum sounds great.

Are you interested in selling just the 12" tom? I've been searching for one. If so, how much? Thanks.
I'm not splitting up the kit. Thanks for asking.
Ok, sorry, I'm confused. In a PM you said you were interested in selling just the 12" tom. I have a friend who wants the 14" floor tom if that helps. Not trying to be a pest. Thanks.
I've decided NOT to split this kit up. I was tempted, but I just can't do it. Especially after finally writing the serial numbers down. This is very interesting, and you'll see what I mean:
12" - 189205
14" - 189393
20" - 189392
I think it is safe to promise you that the 14 and 20 were made on the same table, the same day. The 14" has a date stamp covered by a washer for the leg holder, but all I can see (and very clearly) is "Oct." The 12" date is smudged and the date is either "Feb" or "Oct" and the date ends with a "5", so it is safe to assume "1965." I remember the floor tom being 1965 when I was cleaning/restoring the kit when I first got it. The BD's date stamp was painted over years before I ever got the kit. I am technically the 4th owner, 3rd player to own the kit. First guy sold it to someone in the 70s who took all the bottom heads off and painted the bass drum some whacky colors on the inside. 3rd person to get it was a collector/music store owner I worked with who sold me the kit when I needed something to take to my college practice room at North Texas (5x5'...I miss that!) I don't have names, but I can tell you that is what the 3rd guy told me.
I'm really surprised this kit hasn't sold yet - I've had trade offers, one money offer that didn't come through (safe to blame the wife there), and 2 people wanting to split the kit up. I won't split it, but the buyer can do whatever they want with it. I'd just prefer to sell it to someone who appreciates what they are getting. My $1800 price includes UPS ground shipping and I'll pack the drums, nested, with more wrapping paper and bubble wrap then your kids or puppy will know what to do with.

It seems I've gone about this all wrong, according to some helpful users on this forum. I have a lot of gigs coming up soon and would love to not have to use this drum set and be able to get the one I have in mind! So...I'll put this out there - please make an offer. I've had some really (really) low ballers on CL and a lot of trade offers. I'd like to avoid a trade, but if you have a modern, good condition kit with a 20" bd, 12x8, 14x14, and 16x16, I'd be interested to at least hear about it. The kit I have in mind (new) is a Ludwig Classic Maple or a used Yamaha Tour Custom that I'd have to add a 14x14 to. I'm sick of typing on my own thread, and I do plan to stick around and start participating around here. My experiences are in repair and restoration, not so much in collecting.
Is there a way to delete this thread? It's obvious no one wants to buy this kit (as a whole) and I think I've only created a bloated thread! I'm asking $1600, but again...I'd rather just delete this thread and try my luck elsewhere.
Thanks everybody.

If you don't wish to sell it here edit your first post with the withdrawal info
