Would anyone be intereted in a vintage 80's Pearl Export that came from the factory wrapped in stainless steel? I have another kit in similar wrap, and wanted to get a kit with a wood finish. I put some money in this kit, all new heads, drum spurs on bass, new tom mounts, the only issue is their are some scratches on the bass where the toms mount, this kit is heavy, sounds fantastic, it has 9ply birch/and mahogony shells, I will leave a link to where I have it listed, I'm open to offers, or trades if someone has a kit they would like to swipe with me on..........just let me know.....Gary

Nobody seems to be interested in Pearl drums here unless they are from the 60's. I had a 90's kit for sale here and nobody even asked about them. Put them on Craigslist or in your local paper. I sold mine after a week on Craig's list. My buyer was getting the kit for his 13 y.o. daughter. Here you find collectors.
You never know what someone is looking for, even here in this vintage forum.

Try selling a 60s Pearl here....they just don't sell, unless you are giving them away...I don't resell factory stock MIJ. They don't sound all that great, and no one wants a poor sounding kit. Now, this kit, being from a different era, will sound much mobetta than a factory stock 60s kit...TRUST ME on that. However, put about 20-30 hours of hard labor and 30 years of experience to work, and you can make a whole 100 on a vintage MIJ...They just don't bring big money, ANYWHERE, unless they are a really rare and super funky wrap, and they have been worked over by a pro. But you still have to be ready to sell your really nice 60s-early 70s MIJ kit for no more than 300-maybe, stretching to 400 for just the right kit, on a full moon in June to the right collector/player with your tongue held against the top of you.....nevermind.

I think you are right, I see the classifieds and trade section here, high end kits for sure, (you won;t see my 70 MWP sling for sale here anytime soon), but that is what people here are flipping, anyway, I will take your suggestion on Clist, thanks for the advice.
