Dream Cymbal Tasting in Cincinnati Oct. 1 & 2

Slappy, Are you always this emotional? Speaking of being girl like! I simply stated my thoughts on helping to support the Chinese government, and now all of the forums "great minds" are acting like the Chinese government. This is supposed to be an adult forum, and I am quite surprised at the juvenile responses I have received from some members. Whether anyone agrees with my thoughts is irrelevant. What matters to me is that I can express myself without having to regress to the first grade. Your internet posturing says more about you then you realize.

freedom of speech is for me too right? so i'm saying whatever i want and i want to tell you that your a piece of crap. freedom of speech. is that what you were saying? i can say whatever i want because i have freedom of speech. you are a ****. you are a creep. you need to have the crap beat out of you. freedom of speech.

I'm glad some people have been able to enjoy playing Dream Cymbals. I sincerely thank everyone around who served our country in the military. My brother in law was in Iraq last year, I am happy to have him back here safe and sound. Veterans who come in my store, ALWAYS recieve a discount on the things they purchase.

Regarding China, I invite everyone to take a breather. A 100 level economics class will discuss how each country in the world will develop in roughly the same way. Each will have an Industrial Revolution of sorts. China is in theirs now. So unless Americans are going to foot the bill to raise Chinese wages, raise regulations on pollution, and everything else we can say about China's problems...we will just have to wait it all out. Keep in mind, we were quite a dirty place to be 100 years ago, not to mention having indentured servants and slavery in the south to help boost our economy for a long time.

My 2nd point about China, it isn't like the money my new Dream friend spent on the cymbal was placed in an envelope and mailed to China. I am an American (legal, tax paying, and consumer). Also, the company I work for is American (112 years in business). The cymbal was stocked in St. Louis, I believe, and shipped via UPS. The money involved since arriving to the US surpasses anything given to a Chinese worker by an amazing margin.

Anyway, back to Vintage Drums! If anyone else is interested in hearing some Dreams, just let me know. If I could find an easy way to record some of the rides and whatnot that I like, I would. Any suggestions, I am all ears!!!

Freedom of speech is just that, freedom of speech. If you have ever claimed to be a musician or artist of any sort then you have to stand up for freedom of speech. Whether or not not you agree with what is being said ( and yes that goes for having to read posts by over indulgent parents boasting about their spoiled children). This is a priviledge you will not enjoy in China.

My child is not "spoiled". He knows more about consideration of others, has a work ethic not found in many adults and loves his family and friends. Leave my child out of your rants. You can **** with me, leave my family alone, you dick. I can only imagine the wonderfully loving childhood you had. Did your mommy not take good care of you? Did you have to beg for your goodies?

Look pal, you don't HAVE to read anything on this forum, you CHOOSE to. If you don't want to read of others' wonders, then go back to trolling for ugly drums. You have been one of those that come here and do NOTHNG constructive for the drumming community. You are vile and destructive and are not welcome to post anywhere you see my name. You have clearly launched an unprovoked attack on us, we have done nothing to you.

You are the type that thrives on controversy, and have no life outside of making others' lives' less enjoyable.

You are just another low-life troll.

And once again, Freedom of Speech has nothing to do with this PRIVATELY owned forum. You agreed to the terms when you ssigned up, now live up to them.

I agree, however this guy has attacked me and Mr M before and we just won't have anymore of it. He is a troll, granted, but he has personally attacked my family, and I won't take that sh!t from anyone.

I paired the new 19 you sent me with my 20 Meinl Byzance Jazz Thin Ride. I've also popped in a pair of very thin 14 hats (muts). Wow. I've searched for a sweet 18 or 19 that would work with this ride and just couldn't find one. I've gone through quite a few cymbals in the search. This one hit the mark perfectly. Thanks again for it. Unbelievably sweet match. It has a nice woody stick, excellent bell, great crash and sustain, and is very very warm. I'm loving it. You did a great job hand picking this one out for me. Jump For Joy

Hey,lets leave this sort of "one sided" thinking to the one forum [drumsmith] that welcomes this sort of thing,as long as you take sides with the guy who pays the bills.

Walking

hey Nailfox, can you check with your Dream rep. and ask him why

there isn't a Portland, OR dealer for these awesome cymbals?

There is a cymbal tasting next weekend coming to Tacoma

and Richland WA, which are somewhat close to me, but still . . .

Hey Mjnic,

Sounds pretty great! I love a good set of thin hi hats. That's interesting to hear, my friend has the same ride and had trouble finding something to match with it. He has the 22" model, good sounding cymbals!

EricP,

That stinks about not having a store nearby. They will get there eventually. Isn't there a 5-Star in Washington, maybe Ron Dunnett's place?? Not that it is close to you, but if I am right on all of this, I am pretty sure he imported the biggest gong made by Dream which is like 72"!! Not sure who is doing the tasting, but if it's this store...you should go hit the gong haha!
