Boycott all Chinese goods whenever possible. China has had only one main agenda since the Communist take over, and that is the overtaking of our country, the U.S.A. If you won't boycott for patriotic reasons, then you should for humanitarian reasons. China is still one of the most oppressive regimes in the world.

Ok. I'll beat the heck out of that Chinese product as if I was beating China itself. With each and every power crash, I'll be doing my part as a red blooded American. I'm a patriotic drummer! I love my country and my freedoms. Let's all buy these Dream cymbals and do our part to beat China into submission. Crash Bam Boom! Take THAT you Mao wannabes.

mcjnic, you obviously don't or can't read newspapers. I will guess by the tenure of your reply that you have or probably will be losing your job due to China flooding the market with cheap factory goods.

Actually, that was a polite way of saying back off and don't cross a freekin' line here. I take serious offense to you coming on here and telling people what their political, moral, and ethical stance will be. You do what you do and leave my life to my FATHER. HE alone is my moral compass. HE alone will set my political base. I don't need you or anyone else flapping the gums of guilt at me to try and take a stance against a people or system of government. You don't know me and you haven't earned that place of wise council. This is not the platform for this tripe and definitely is not a welcome read. Perhaps this is a bit clearer and more to your liking. Either way, **** off.

David, I tried to be polite. He just didn't get it. I'm on here to just say thanks to a forum member for being so cool and this trouble maker jumps in here and starts commanding the masses. Those are not suggestions in that post. What the heck? This is a vintage drum forum, right?

A complete boycott of Chinese products would collapse the entire world's economy.

Not a good idea.

$.02 or yen, or whatever....:)

This from the same guy that slammed me for for being a "doting father" and having pride in my very intelligent, Principal's Honor Roll son, and then went on to tell us he had every right to say whatever because of his gross misunderstanding of the First Amendment and the rules of a PRIVATELY owned forum...I think you will remember the history lesson mjic gave you on that subject as well?

You sir, are the one that seems to have the problem. Seems you only post for 2 reasons.

1) Looking for the drums and parts, which is perfectly acceptable for your type.

2) To begin controversy.

Please, go shop and leave the rest of us alone, and we promise we will leave you alone.

"Ignorance may be overcome through education. Stupidity, however, is a lifelong endeavor." So, educate me, I don't likes bein' ignant...
"I enjoy restoring 60s Japanese "stencil" drums...I can actually afford them..."I rescue the worst of the old valueless drums for disadvantaged Children and gladly accept donations of parts, pieces and orphans, No cockroaches, please...

Freedom of speech is just that, freedom of speech. If you have ever claimed to be a musician or artist of any sort then you have to stand up for freedom of speech. Whether or not not you agree with what is being said ( and yes that goes for having to read posts by over indulgent parents boasting about their spoiled children). This is a priviledge you will not enjoy in China.
