Paiste Formula 602 13" Hats Last viewed: 10 seconds ago

I've been doing a little inventory of my "excess" drum items and came across a pair of Paiste Formula 602 13" hi-hat cymbals that I must have picked up with a vintage kit some time ago.

Since all I've ever owned or played are Zildjians, I'm trying to date this particular pair of Paiste's as well as obtain some information regarding quality level and market value. Also, are the 13" hats somewhat rarer than the 14"s?

I apologize for the filthy condition of the cymbal. I obviously haven't used it since it was purchased.

THANKS in advance for your time and your help!

Your Paiste 602's are pre serial number 60's models, 602's are professional quality equal to any professional zildjian cymbal of the day, 13" Hats are most definitely rarer than 14" or 15" for that matter! at least $275.00 and higher

Ditto what vintagemore2000 stated. They are rare (pre serial 1958 - '71) and depending on condition will help you buy more Zildjians. There are fewer dedicated Paiste players than Zildjians (like me). Just compare the the cymbal posts and the difference is obvious. You should give them a test drive and if they fit your playing style you may just like what you hear.

BTW Moniker has nothing to do with my drumming!

Thanks for your time, your input and the information you provided. Since I need an 18" crash, I'll more than likely clean up these hats, sell 'em and start my search.

Well....I just happen to have said 18"....and may even consider it. Should I clean the crud off it. You are looking for a Zildjian though.

I'm looking for something "thin" that I can use as a crash.

I play mainly blues, R&B, some country and a little classic rock.
