Preparing Wooden Dynasonic for sale

Loading...

hello all, I'm new to this forum and need some advice from the drum restoration experts. I have a Rogers Drum Set, Black Onyx, 22" bass drum #27617, 16" floor tom tom #4420, 9X12 mounted tom #36131 and a matching wooden Rogers Dyna snare drum. all the parts are there except the bass drum is in need of 10 claws and T handles. the T handles are the "faucet" design.

Question: I'd thinking about selling the kit. I've obtained pricing on the Bass drum claws and T handles ranging from $100 to $200. would it be beneficial to purchase and replace the 10 claws and T handles prior to placing the kit on the market? or, I could simply sell the kit "as is".

Wow. First, Welcome to VDF. Secondly, you will likely have a flurry of PMs begging you to seperate the Dyna...I suggest you don't do it. And you likely will see the return on the Ts and claws, ss long as you have the original bass hoops and inlays, it should be worth it. However the market is depressed at the moment and you will not likely see the money you would have say 3 years ago.

What tags are they? Cleveland, Fullerton, Dayton...?

the Rogers kit with matching Dynasonic snare drum was made in Cleveland, Ohio. thanks for the tip about not separating the drums. I'm thinking I will go ahead and get the T handles and claws and then put the drum set together. after that I will post photographs of this fabulous drum kit!

BTW, I was quoted $20 per claw and T handle for a total of $200. anyone with any ideas where I could obtain claws and T handles in good condition for less $$$ would be appreciated. thanks!
