Anybody have an actual dead horse that we can flog for a while because flogging this dead horse is getting old...lol!
I am Tired of seeing DW drums
No, but I've got a cat that's coughing up blood. Will that do?
....page 10...and I'm with Bill, those First Act drums are EVERYWHERE!...will you please stop buying those stupid things new? There are enough of them for sale in mint condition just on MY C/L to supply the world for the next 5 years...then maybe if the new sales drop off enough they will stop prodution and the kiddies can get the ones they desreve...those plastic delites that last just about as long as a 3 year olds' interest in drumming....19 1/2 minuites!
"I enjoy restoring 60s Japanese "stencil" drums...I can actually afford them..."I rescue the worst of the old valueless drums for disadvantaged Children and gladly accept donations of parts, pieces and orphans, No cockroaches, please...

Finally some people who agree that DW drums aren't all that. Don't care for them at all, it's just not for me! But it's no wonder they have so many endorsers. Free drums set up exactly how you want it anywhere anytime. Just think of that. Earlier this year I went to this drum festival, and about three quarters of all the drummers there played DW. They had this one big blue sparkle kit, with like four different sizes of kicks and a lot of snares and toms, all part of this one kit that they would build individual kits out of. Pretty neat idea, and of course how many DW endorsers do you think where there? Lots, that’s how many. Bernard Purdie, Danny Seiwell, Paul Wertico, Chad Wackerman, Danny Seraphine, etc. etc. etc. all playing blue sparkle DW's.
Anyway, I Just want to make a point to prove the fact that their hardware isn't that great, so check this out:

LameLame. if you knew what you where talking about might be one thing??? you have some 1981 gretsch drums some of the Worst hardware ever made! the Hardware from gretsch at that time is totally laughable! I genuinely am perplexed by this websites Hatred For an American Drum Company, oh well, I'm on another forum, They have no threads of hatred for any drum brand??? maybe this one will eventually grow up??
It's not about being famous, it's about playing drums.Guys will endorse their mother in laws blue hair if you pay them.Music belongs to the order of principles capable of charging the atmosphere with power.Gene Krupa said that in his 1938 drum set manual. The first drum set manual ever written. That is all.
I join in the choir of people who loathe DW... Walking
One of my favorite drummers is Michael Shrieve, and I was disappointed to see that even he has become a fan of those drums. In 1969 at the Woodstock Festival he played on his nice Ludwig "Pink Champagne" 69 downbeat-kit. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BB_aeN61lA[/ame]
I hope he goes back to those again... !! Coffee Break2

I wasn't talking about gretsch hardware, but I do agree with you there. I don't use the 1981 hardware, I use vintage and mostly new tom mounting. I'm just saying they are not for me, and it's fine with me whatever drums anybody plays, and everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I've heard great things played on DW drums, but I just don't like the drums. Just like I have heard great things played on other drums that I don't like. I am very sorry if I offended anybody, but I'm just saying that I am glad that there is some people I can relate to about these things. Well now would be great time for me to shut up now, wouldn't it?
Nevermind.
