1. It isn't a 1950s Istanbul
2. I don't have a Ride
Anyone else want to try and take a stab at explaining reality to this kid?
I'm done.

If you keep looking long enough, and probably for a very long time, you will find some uninformed, but seemingly knowledgeable resource that will agree with an inflated estimate of your cymbals worth.
For example.... my car is worth $4000 according to the Kelly Blue Book and every other well established and generally recognized used car valuation service available on-line.
I really wish it was worth a lot more than that.
But it just isn't.
If I look for the next six months, I might find one or two uninformed individuals that just think off the top of their heads that my car is worth $6000.
But they would be wrong, as far as the well established and generally accepted value goes.
Hang on to your cymbals... play them and enjoy them..... they are better than money in the bank these days by a long shot.
Thanks for explaining fully.
I understand now, and by all means people, them or others can be wrong.
Prices do vary, etc..
I was just involved so much in the price as i'm 13, and need an electric kit, as I can't play mine as they're too loud for my neighbours.
Thanks.
ain't that the truth kevins!
Yes Sir

Find another way to earn the money for an electronic set.
If you sell those cymbals, you are going to regret it.
Maybe not today, or in a month, but eventually you will.
Store them away somewhere safe,..... they are worth more than a used electronic kit
would be anyway.... and in a few years they will be worth even more.
They will be around and getting more valuable all the time, while the electronic kit will
fall into disrepair and be worth nothing before long.
And what if you sell them, and then you move to a different place where you could
play them without bothering the neighbors??
Only, oops, I sold my cymbals ??
Peace, little brother....
