I recently bought two of these (separate eBay auctions) and I need ONE more so I can put my 53 Gretsch 16" floor tom together.

Anyone have one of these with mounting hardware they can sell me?

Gary, I'm not sure that type will work without modifying (enlarging) the holes in the shell. I think you need the ones with the screws coming in from the front.

Thanks,

Bill

Thanks

I've been looking for those - can't find any yet.

Drum builder Ray Ayotte has my drum. I'll send him one of my plates when it gets here and he will see what he can do. He seems to be able to do just about anything drum-wise in that shop of his. He even fixed/rebuilt some parts (hand made parts in his shop) a Micro Sensitive throwoff for me - it works great = better made now than when it was new. So I'm pretty sure he can make the plates fit..if not..I'll keep looking.

I'd prefer the ones with the screws going in from the front -they match what I have on my 58 14" floor tom.

They can definitely be made to fit, it's just a matter of avoiding altering the original shell. The holes just need to be enlarged.

Here's a set of the screw type: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280543609710&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I don't believe this!! I searched ebay continually and this did NOT come up. I ended up buying a set of three.....the ones that screw in from the inside of the drum.....just now - I paid 2.5 x more the ones you showed me here that are exactly what I need! Dohhh!

I'm sending the ones I won directly to Ray Ayotte. He's drilling holes for the reso lugs, wrapping the drum in Gold Sparkle & he will be drilling out my new plates to fit with screws from the outside to match my 14" tom. The screw holes line up with my 14" tom plates I have here. I asked the seller to carefully measure them & he came up with the same spacing as I have on mine here & the 16" tom Ray has in his shop. It should all work out.

But MAN.....I don't know how my "Search Engine" for ebay never picked up on these three you show that were won for $26..........Not meant to be I guess.

Thanks for your post.
