RoyalStar, SuperStar, ImperialStar, SwingStar...no Starphonic in the 70s that I am aware of. Can you post some pictures please? This is how we identify drums that are not in the catalogs, or are mistaken for others.
yeah i've looked anywhere and i couldn't find it.
What am I looking at? I see the snare, and it is a King Berat maybe? Does it have a parrelel strainer on it?
I can see it now. If you are looking to buy the snare, by all means, do it! You will not be disappointed. It looks like a Kingbeat from here. Does the badge say StarPhonic?
yes it has the big stainer on one side, such as a you name Kingbeat.
but the lugs look like a vintage tama, so i think that on its say 70s :S it's imposiible! they sell to 230 dolars!

It is a Kingbeat from the early 70s. This is indeed a great snare drum. 230, however...where are you located? These average $100- $175 on ebay US, so in really top notch condition, it is your money, and these are COB shells, so it will be a super drum that will appreciate as more and more become lost to ignorance. If you want to search them on ebay, look for Imperialstar snare as well as kingbeat. This is an early TAMA, or late Star. Nothing at all wrong with the person selling it, they just named it wrong, that is all. http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/anniversary/expansion.php?cat_id=24&now=1

Also, another member, from Germany, will have the best info on this drum. His name is Ralf. He has a catalog with all the TAMA/Star snares.
thank you somuch for the imformation..
so you do think that it worh? im looking a song similar to a supraphonic-
I live in argentina here is very expensive :S and isn't easy to get vintage drum!
Hi,
I guess, too, that someone has mixed the name (perhaps with Sonor, who used to have a 'Phonic' line in earlier times).
If you want to know something about the KingBeat sound, this guy has given some statements here:

Also Stewart Copeland of Police used this one on the early songs.
It's true: the KingBeat rings a lot. But that can be controlled with Moongel and the internal damper and/ or an adequate tuning. I've also had some KingBeats with felt damper material inside of the lugs (rolled like a tampon) which also lowers the ringing a bit.
I know a guy here in Germany who has minimum one Tama/Star KingBeat for sale (out of a huge collection of snares). But only the shipping costs to Argentina are about US-$ 70 ... So it might end also in the line of US-$ 200 - 250. I can make a contact, if you like.
Ralf
NB: Welcome to this forum!
Is your name Bernard?
Anyway, play the drum, make him an offer of 175 US, bargain with him. Even at 200, or 230, it is still, in your country, a good deal. This is a very good, Great snare drum. If you can buy it, go for it. These are not by any stretch, a cheap drum. I realize it is more than many others, but if you want a high quality drum, and do not want to spend a fortune to obtain one, this is a top 10 snare, in many peoples' mind. I am searching for one in my area, and when I find it, I will buy it, no doubt in my mind.
