Have a look...Jazzette!...NOT. Look at the "factory" purple sparkle on the bass...not to mention the badge and paint job on the inside of the bass. Wonder if there is a date in there...

Very artfully worded. "Factory purple sparkle" comes after the toms description, which is probably true. "Factory 3-ply shell with support rings" is the bass drum description, which is probably true as well, but doesn't mention where the wrap came from, or even where the factory was. And he never calls it a Jazzette, just "Jazz Set." Someone obviously pieced together a Frankenstein Jazzette, as I and others have done. And yeah, that price is steep for this purply pastiche. Nice looking kit, though.

Well...of course it's not a Jazzette. No mystery there! However, if I went into a jazz club to play and that was the set that was in the club, I would like playing it, I'll bet. But, the price is much too high for any club owner I know, to spring for!Mister T

Its a $500 set plain and simple....my bet is that the bass drum is a converted marching tom and not even a real bass drum. You can tell the rack tom started off as a concert tom by the lug spacing. And the "floor tom" started life as a power tom sized rack tom. No that there's anything wrong with that....I have a kit just like that now! But....I'm not trying to pass it off as something its not either......I think the dead giveaway on mine is the fact its wrapped in a Rogers color! x-mas3
