if you need money, don't do it. the commission rates r terrible. used to be amazing in the late 90's til about 2002.

used to be weekly commission vs. draw. your draw is your hourly pay, minimum wadge. so say as a salesmen, u do 40 hours @ 7$, its 280 a week. you have to sell enough IN PROFIT to beat it. so u make 40 on a GP kit, sell 7 a week u r even, they anything after that u sell is commission.

weekly commission was the bomb, cuz u could sell a v kit and make 300 in commission on monday, then the whole week was extra dough.

NOW, since Gutter Center came about, ash copied their commission system which is monthly commissions. so, u could have 3 slammin weeks, then crap the bed on the 4th week and lose it all cuz it evens out. the commission is awful too, like 2%. make 6 bucks on 20" k custom ride.

its not worth it anymore unless u really love doing it. the internet murdered it too. imagine spending a week showing someone a TD20 roland v kit and the ins and outs of it, just to have them bail and get it online for afew bucks less.

heart wrenching i tell ya!

in short, dont do it unless u are cool with minimum wadge

I have been a car salesman for years. In the 90s, it was not uncommon to work 2-3 weeks a month and make 10K...today, internet and poor economy, you work 70-80/wk, 6 days, and make 2500....nah, I'm out. Roofing is the deal in OK.

just to make sure. the cowbell is included in the $2000, right?

You did notice the professional rolled rubber foam, stuffed into the tom, to make it sound like a limp fiber drum case? Lame 8" cowbell? That's huge!

I actually find it hysterical that this thread has gone on this long for something we all know is crap and rediculously priced.......Falling Do

BTW....how is it a colossal waste of money if we know that no one is going to spend a dime on this kit? I see no money wasted, just tons saved....:p

Hmm. I don't know Jonni. By those numbers that is a buck twenty a year. 100k plus a year is still respectable in 2010, isn't it?
