Matt says the seller is now left with one 22" K. that sounds "pingy". But who knows for sure if this is really the last one?

I like this one a lot myself. I'm going to have to ask Matt to put me in his will.

By the way I like that fleeting image seen in that split second at the very end. I guess they call that subliminal advertising.

The buy it now is $700. It seems a good price for NOS K hats. My kcon hats, new, were over $400. What do you think? It looks like an intermediate stamp, but the picture was a bit unclear so I supposoe it might also be a Type IV Old stamp. The star was a bit obscured. Enlighten me please :)

Intermediate stamp.

I think $700 is a good price for these especially considering they're NOS.

Now considering these 15" NOS intermediates and their $700 price tag, compare those to what this guy's trying to get for these 15" new stamps. Unlike the NOS ones, these aren't even good weights for jazz. In fact I have my doubts as to whether these were even made to be hi-hats in the first place.

I just looked.. You're right. By comparison, these are a "bargain" for $700. I never was a big fan of 15" hats myself. Had a pair of used A's I bought in 1963 or1964 as a teen a, but swapped them out for a pair of used 14"s as soon as I could afford it, which back then took me over two years! Those 15s had a nice patina when I got them so they were likely from the '50s.

If these were 14s I'd probably buy them for my son, although he already has 5 nice pairs of hats, including two pair of vintage A's from the '50s.

Simon,the seller,told me he wanted $450 a pair for the 15"s.......then,later on,he wanted $500 a pair.....

That was the same time he went from $750 for each 22" to $1,500 for each 22" Hmmmm:confused:

Sounds like he was still in about the year 2000 as far as old K prices go. Someone must have brought him more up to date to about 2005...his prices are still a good deal lower than current market value.
