I believe this group was the Silver Beatles. What brand of drums is Pete playing ? This should be an eazy one !

Premiers. The pic is from 1961, I think. And The band is not The Silver Beatles anymore. Did they change their name in 1960?

I saw The Pete Best Band here in my hometown few years ago and it really Rocked!

Pete Best and his band had concert here in Prague few days ago. Really nice experience... and he signed my sticks Cool1

You are correct....they dropped the word Silver. I still like 'Johnny and the MoonDogs'!

Who latter replaced Pete as drummer for this band ?

Wasn't it Lefty Frizzell? I think it was. He played with these guys during their creative explosion that would yield such masterpieces as "I Am The Waffle Man", "Tomorrow Never Waffles", "Good Day, Crisp Waffle", and the titular Soundtrack mega hit "WAFFLE!"

Man, those guys were amazing. ... I'm hungry ...

Now I remember.....it was RINGO ! He held the drum chair for 'Rory Storm and the Hurricanes' a skiffle group from Liverpool.

From 1960 to 1962 the silver Beatles they changed to just the Beatles in 1962.
