If you can find an old beater MIJ shell on your local C/L or whatever you have, or even freecycle, grab one or two to practice on. This way you can get the feel for how to keep the contour correct without flattening out the edges and forming a double 45*. What you have is a rounded 45*

I just second what the other folks have said, and about what you were thinking of already. I bet you could find a small cabinet shop around somewhere that would be happy to do it. And yes, if you have another shell to practice on, that'd be ideal!
