Super Rare Slingerland Fancher snare drum

I think what VM2K is on about ... not every drumkit in history was built around snare bass tom floor config. Those old cymbals and doodads were a MAJOR part of that kit. It's all in pieces now. That should disturb any lover of fine drums.

Thank you michael, also the bass drum he so ridiculously described is a rare 20's ludwig ludwig bass drum as is the entire kit, it is all very rare and was a complete kit, and the musician that originally owned this was obviously a pro, the XYLOPHONE are high dollar as is the entire kit!!!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Looks like a theatre, or pit orchestral set up... ya know ? ....

Maybe even vaudeville, or a live radio show collaboration of instruments.

Not a cataloged drum set per se , but certainly a great example of a "working drummer's" cache of tools of the trade back then.

A real shame to break them up IMHO.

I understand what you guys are saying, I know the temple blocks, cymbals, and triangles and other doohickys were an important part of the kits back then. My only question was what makes it an original kit, did Slingerland not produce a full setup like this? I guess I'm thrown off by the mix of brands, but I get what you are saying that all of this stuff made up a kit played by the original owner and was probably not stuff that was collected over time. I'll plead ignorance on this one and retract my statement, I'm here to learn, and I'll admit this era is not my expertise.
