On cars I use a product called Turtle Wax Polishing Compound, it comes in a small green and white tub. It has a slight abrasive and cuts the surface to a small degree.

You can find it and similar products at your regular Pet Boys type shops.

Rubbing compound is usually a little more aggressive and that's what I try if the polishing compound didn't do it.

After that I'd finish it with car wax.

I use Turtle Rubbing compound on all my parts during a deep cleansing. It works for most clean up, however, I am not certain it will have much effect on this finish.

"Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0" worked beautifully After tonight's gig, the lugs come off and I'll do the entire shell.

Don't know if it will work on anything else -- as in wraps - but it's great on the lacquer clear coat on the Mapex.

There's other good ideas here that are worth trying!

Automotive buffing compound would be what I would use. It can work miracles on cars, guitars, and drums. I use it all the time. Get 2 grades. One with some grit, and then some without it to finish it off.
