Getting close on this one....

Late 50s 10x14 ..... Mahogany-Poplar-Mahogany shell

The exterior was in pretty bad shape. I removed the Walnut finish and sanded down to 220.

She has two new coats of Walnut, and the first coat of poly on her now.

I've got all the hardware except the drum key and holder (hint, hint ).

It has a dog tag badge, which can be found on marching drums as late as '59.

This one came with the older model 673 Parade Drum Strainer, which was changed to the Rapid Street Drum Strainer in '58. It has Sticksaver hoops, and the #565 lugs which came along in 1955.

Anyway, I think all this points to a 1957 "Haskell W. Harr Model".

Or, it could be a post '55 Legion Heir Model with the wood hoops and claws replaced.

Whichever it is, I've had fun working on it so far !!

I'm getting all this info from our Slingerland catalog pages in the Vintage Drum Guide, Dr. C.J. Wenk's articles on Slingerland in the Vintage Drum Guide, and Rob Cook's book on Slingerland.

And yes, Space Monkey is supervising, as usual.......

The hole spacing looks like 2 and 3/4 inches

If it will work, let me know.

Thanks
