Now is your chance to own a piece of American music history. I am selling my 1964 Ludwig 4 piece silver glitter mahogany kit. This kit is in great condition with only two owners, my father and myself. Each drum has a Keyston badge with number. The rack tom and floor tom are both RIMS mounted and mount to the straight telescopic stands. All heads are Evans drum heads, both top and bottom. This kit has always been stored in a smoke free and pet free house. Everything you see in the pics is included. I am selling this to pay for some of my medical bills.

(1) 14" Ludwig Supraphonic Snare (new cord for holding strainer)

(1) 13" Rack Tom (RIMS mounted)

(1) 16" Floor Tom (RIMS mounted)

(1) 22" Kick Drum (Gibralter spurs installed; attachment for L-shape cymbal stand mounted)

(2) Ludwig straight telescoping stands with RIMS mounts for toms

(1) Ludwig snare stand

(1) Ludwig L-shape cymbal stand for kick drum

(1) Tama straight/boom stand

(1) Tama Iron Cobra hi-hat stand

(1) Outdoor Products carrying bag with shoulder strap for hardware/stands

(1) Yamaha kick pedal

(1) Pacific Drums throne

(4) Black zippered cases/bags; kick drum bag has external pocket and shoulder strap

(1) 14" Zildjian Quick Beat hi-hat

(1) 17" Zildjian Z Custom Crash (small hairline crack near bell)

(1) 18" Zildjian A Custom Crash (chipped along outer edge, can be seen in pic)

News to me that those sizes were available for the toms and kick in 64....Where was i when they made these?Hmmmm

I have the original hardware still sitting around as well that goes with this kit if you wanted to remove the RIMS mounts.

Yes, but you took the original spurs off and drilled/cut for newer style...originality out the window, cuts deeply into the value any time you mess with the shells.

I did not. The Gibraltar's fit in the same holes. I didn't have to drill anything. I even have rubber pads protecting the outside of the spurs from the wraps on the shell.

I am really disappointed in the responses here. People drawing conclusions publicly before asking in private first. That's not cool in my book. I took care to protect the integrity of the shells and did NO modifications to them at all.

May you show a picture of the legs off?? By the way is the bass drum a 60's Ludwig...it looks to be a clear birch or something inside(And in 64 they were painting all the drums white inside) Please let me know

Well i can only comment on what i see get rid of the rims mounts get rid of the gibraltar spurs put it back to original and fill the holes on the floor tom with the original mounts and check your measurements, the bass should be 14 x 22 and the ride tom should be 9x13 looks to be a 400 supra.. see what i mean with what you posted it is not very desirable for a VINTAGE collector as it is .. hope this clears it up and good luck.

Then I apologize, PUBLICLY. I saw the ad, and yes, I did assume. Maybe you should also be more clear that you did take great care...99.999% of the time, it don't happen. We see it all the time, and yes, we do naturally assume the worst, because it is as stated above, mostly done wrong.

I would definitely try to get that kit back to it's original form, or as close as possible. You would have a much better chance of selling that kit, IMHO.
