Problem with Repercussions

Lots of people complain about her. I'm curious how many of them actually did biz and had a poor deal. I have done biz with her twice and both went just fine. Something to cogitate upon while brewing up the next muddy post.

I did biz with her once and it went fine, I just paid way to much!

Ha! I believe I picked up the sticks 46 years ago just so I could overpay for every freekin' vintage kit I purchase. I think it was a governmental assistance plan put into action in the mid 60s. I've done my part. I'm ready for a tag-out so I can join the masses and actually pay a normal price for a vintage kit. That would be cool.

From kevins

I like BBK's advice about taking the high road ..... maintain a level of professionalism and perhaps the situation will be resolved. Mud slinging around the drum forums, justified or not, probably won't help a bit in reaching your resolution.

Thank you sir, your good taste never ceases to amaze me......;)

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

What I would do is print all correspondance, the Pay Pal invoice and send a certified letter to the seller asking for a refund or shipment of the items.

It is a very long time to get any resolution to a situation like this. Having all of the paperwork might help the seller remember what was going on and take care of it quicker without having to do the work to backtrack so far.

Cherie / Repercussions has been discussed here before:

http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=7514&highlight=repercussions

I've had nothing but good experiences with Cherie so it's disappointing that others haven't had the same. Then again, I'm close enough I can drive up to NH to pick things up. She does seem to get overwhelmed at times with the volume of business, but she's always come through for me.

I would persist with the phone calls until I either talked to her or her sideman Jes who does their ebay sales under the user name "nepercussion". My guess is that they would be apologetic and settle the matter on the spot.

I certainly don't discount your experience. Hopefully you can get in touch with them in person and hash it out!

For what it's worth, I've had some communication with her today and we've come to an agreement. She didn't have the item I ordered but she said she would send something else which I've needed.

Once the item arrives, I will update this thread.

Ed, just saw this- I remember you mentioning this to me before- I didn`t imagine that it hadn`t cleared up.

Good to hear she `s agreed to send you an alternative- probably can't relax until it`s in your hands though.

I only use PayPal and my credit card to pay anymore- it gives me two avenues to go through if I have trouble. I also won`t say it`s a gift anymore- I tell it like it is. It`s the safest.

(note* there are some very, very nice Agop Xist 16"s at ACT this week and pretty cheap- I think I want one- you should check them- great for all styles)

I dealt with her once before and had no problems, however that was about 4 years ago. From what I understand, she has had some family problems of late and hasn't been near or had time for the business lately. I've also heard that she has recently sold the business, so there could be a transition happening.....

Like L-D I have dealt with Cherie on a few transactions and they went very smoothly! She is an Old Not So Modern Drummer member and I have known her for over 12 years! I had heard some of the things that Ludwig-Dude had mentioned about her! she is very knowledgeable about what she sells! it would be ashamed to lose her! but on the same token this situation needs to be seen to a satisfactory conclusion! I had just bought a pair of Brass rims from her 8 months ago and I recieved them in 4 days!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!
