Just looking for some feedback/opinions on this discontinued line ....

Do you like them.... hate them... ??

How do they compare with the 2002s ??

Same alloy, but did they have a sound all their own ??

They were only manufactured for 9 years... any reasons why ??

Thanks

Kevin

we have a few at the store I work at. They seem a bit thicker and drier than 2002s. We had a used blue Vistalite which I displayed with the Sound Reflections with the blue print...looked cool!

The 2000 series was a VERY focused line. It was played by some heavy hitters in the past. Rod M from the Dregs comes to mind. The lathing was a bit light. The cymbals were stiff. The polish was too much. It made the light lathing even lighter. The crashes were non-responsive and stiff and very narrow tones. The rides were clunky and too pingy. The chinas were way to clangy and high pitched. Don't remember the splashes. The hats were not bad for straight ahead simple rock. Very high and direct.

All in all, I wouldn't pay much for them and I wouldn't personally use them. That's my memories of them.
