I am the original owner of these and would like to sell them. All original except the mounted tom and floor tom has the bottom hoop and head missing. The floor tom is an unknown brand, (imported I think), that I picked up after the original disappeared. The hi hat stand, floor cymbal stand, snare, speed king pedal, throne and bass drum L arm are all to be included. Minor pitting on the chrome, very little fading, but a few minor scuffs on the wrap that are not noticed from a few feet away. The floor tom shows considerably more damage to the wrap. White interiors, with the date stamps on the bass drum and snare. 14x20, 8x12 tom, 51/2x14 six lug snare, (original snares). 141/2x16 floor tom. The snare, and floor tom heads will need to be replaced. I have other pics if needed. Thanks for any help.
1965 Ludwig Club Dates, What r they worth? Last viewed: 10 seconds ago
I've got to say in the $200-$450 zone(depending on how you sell it). Club date kits are going for around $700-$800 right now.
The main factor for pricing yours, is that it doesn't come with the matching floor tom(A main piece worth around $300). Overall the set looks to be in good condition and semi-complete. Talk to me through email or somthing and I will give you a better evaluation and some tips on how to sell.

I'd get some 1.6 mm rims and sell it as a complete "Combo" kit and forego the information about a "missing" floor tom. It may not have ever come with a floor tom as far as you know. Although the Combo set was usually sold with an Acrolite, your matching blue sparkle Pioneer snare drum, red top throne, 1400 series snare stand and SpeedKing pedal make a nice, complete Combo kit. The hi-hat stand and floor tom are essentially worthless to
Ludwig people, but could be sellable to someone who collects Made In Japan drums. The cymbal stand would at least be useable -doesn't look too bad.

The cymbal stand looks like a Slingerland.

Please send a PM if you go that direction.
The snare alone is worth $180 to $275 according to the latest completed listings at eBay.
I would follow O-Lugs advice about selling it as a Combo Outfit.
It's a bummer the original FT went missing, but going with a Combo configuration is a great
option that you have here. Maybe use the import FT as a negotiation tool ?
Thanks
Kevin
If you do decide to sell, I'm interested. I have the floor Tom and am seeking out the bass. I don't need the snare and throne and such so that could net you 'extra' from the chaps here or even on the bay. Let me know if you are interested in selling the kit.

Ouch, I didn't realize what that tom meant to the set in $. I appreciate your offer to help, so I will do that over the next few days when I get caught up.

Thanks O-Lugs, that sounds like a good idea. I wish I could just pickup a spare blue sparkle 60's vintage floor tom but I can see I've probably waited too long. Your idea makes sense at this point though. The hi-hat stand has no brand stamp, only that it was make in Germany. I bought it with my first set in the late 50's. You are right on the floor tom..coffee table? BTW I looked at the Ludwig parts list online and they only show 1.9 rims. Where would I find 1.6?

Hi Kevins, I may have to part it out but only as a last resort. Sentimental value I guess, I bought the set in 1965 when I was 15 yrs. old. Lots of memories there, especially paying for it by mowing lawns @ $5.00/lawn. I can't remember when or where I bought the floor cymbal stand, it looks good and funtional but there is no brand stamped anywhere. If imported, it's a good import for those days. I will contact you if I need to go that way. Many Thanks

Thanks for your interest, wow where did you find that tom? Blue sparkle, club date?
Hi Bob, as stated, the floor tom is really what it is, MIJ, however my son has a blue sparkle and I would like the tom to go with. We have a 20-12-12-14 and matching snare, and a 16 would go nicely. The hi-hat available? I live in Norman, so traveling ain't too bad for me. Please let me know. Thanks. I am also sending an email.
And the "Combo Kit" is a 20-12 and Acrolite, no floor tom, but you have a Pioneer snare to match, so it would be a cool kit, no matter.
