Broken Spur-Lok

From SkyDog75

Is the metal link from the Speed King bass pedal the same part or at least compatible? Seems like it might make sense since the older 1121 hi-hat stand has the same footboard as the Speed King bass pedal. Since Ludwig still sells the Speed King bass pedal, the linkage (#P1210A) is available from Ludwig dealers for about five or six bucks.

It is similar, but unfortunately will not work as it is much longer than the hihat link. However, it may be possible to modify it to work by shortening and reshaping it......Hmmmm

Thanks guys!

I knew I'd get a bunch of good ideas if I posted on this forum, and you didn't disappoint!

L-D Thanks for the wealth of options for a replacement part. Try not to laugh too hard....But after 45 years of owning that HH stand I now know what the heck it is called! An Atlas! I just always referred to it as a Spur-Lok, I mean that's what it says on it....lol

One of my favorite lines from the movie "Kelly's Heroes" is when Oddball (Donald Sutherland) says :Tanks? Hey man, I just drive them, I don't know what makes them work"

Spur-lok is the name of the mechanism at the heel plate to keep the stand from creeping. Its amazing how many people on ebay call these things "spur-lok" hi-hats...LoLoLoLo
