There are only a handful in the big scheme of things regarding MIJ DRUMS.Most drummers would,nt give these a second look, and i expect that to stay this way forever. They are only of interest to us because they are quite affordable in comparison, plus we have cleared the "snobbery hurtle".They can be made to sound passable and do sound great when recorded. So at a fraction of the cost of the big 4,these make sense, especially since most of us are,nt taking them on a lengthy road tour.Lets be brutally honest here, most of us wish Ludwig,Rogers etc were priced lower, but thats not going to happen in our life time...I just bought a BDP Apollo snare to match a kit,and did so for no other reason.I paid 20 bucks for an 8 lug decent snare drum.Would i pay 150 for it?..NEVER.Would i pay 150 for a Ludwig?..Of course i would, but i dont need it.There is no right or wrong with accumulating MIJ gear, and i dont believe any of us that do,would never be so indulgent to assume this stuff is better than a Rogers or a Gretsch. All we,re saying is a lot of it really aint bad sounding when you work it a little, and thats all im saying:2Cents:
