In a situation like the one you have with the holes in the bass,I make a nice stainless"delete plate"to cover the holes.Same footprint as the Pearl tom mount, just a blank with a piece of black felt underneath.Nice chrome button head screws and slightly contoured washers inside.Your consollete has seen better days.....

+1

I made an adapter plate for a dw bass mounted cymbal mount out of some aluminum sheet stock I got at home cheapo. Polished it on my buffing wheel and it came out shiny as a mirror.

I guess my question would be, what holds a higher resale value in this situation?

A: Delete Plate

B: Inlay new wrap into the holes as best as possible

C: Leave it be

D: Re-wrap

E: what to do on the inside, given above scenarios

Shanks!

I'd guess that someone wrapped the whole drum with contact paper at some point. The stuff is usually used for lining shelves and drawers. When taking off the wrap, they traced the lugs with a sharp knife instead of removing all the hardware.

The damage has allready been done. Re-wrap would net the most but that in itself can be quite costly.

Continued... but with added dissapointment.

All the washers from inside the toms have been discarded, but someone was thoughtfull enough to wrench the lugs down anyways. Lock washers were all embedded.

fack.

Not even sure if this should be addressed or not... I wanna fill in and sand down, but then it seems like I would end up doing the entire inside of both shells, having to deal with the labels, etc.

What do y'all think?

wrap seperation... can handle that

this is the worst of the bearing edges, both sides, both shells. This is the rack tom, rounded over on both sides

This is the floor tom... rounded only on the outside. Sharp edge to the inside... beleive this to be a leftover 60's tub.
