Super Radio King

Loading...

Decided to give my 1944-45 Super Radio King snare a little "bath" in some Novus 2 this morning.

This one's an 8x14 model with the Aluminum and White (lettering) Cloud Badge, which was the first version of the Cloud Badge issued during WWII. It features 16 Super Streamlined lugs and Super (Clamshell) strainer.

Other than the batter side head I've kept everything on this one in its original state from the time I purchased the drum.

I've also got the matching 24" bass drum, 13" rack tom and 16" floor tom (in a basket).

I have that same drum in wmp. And another that is the same except it has 3 point throw and is refinished in dark maple.

That dark maple must look stunning!

I recently sold my WMP Radio King kit with the matching snare but it also had the clamshell strainer, not the 3-point throw.
